Arunachal Pradesh, the 25th state of India was a part of Assam till 21 June 1972; after which it was conferred the status
of a union territory and was governed by the President of India. The UT
attained its statehood only on 20 Feb, 1987 with its capital at
Itanagar.
A peaceful state in north-eastern India, Arunachal Pradesh is inhabited
mostly by tribes who have their own traditions and languages. There are
