Changlang District

Changlang district is one of the 16 administrative districts of Arunachal Pradesh. Its headquarters is located at Changlang town. The district shares common boundaries with the Tinsukia District of Assam and Lohit District of Arunachal Pradesh on the north and Tirap District on the west. Myanmar (Burma) forms its south-eastern boundary.

Changlang District came into existence on 14th November 1987 and became the 10th district of Arunachal Pradesh by an amendment in the state reorganization act.

Prior to that, it was part of the Tirap District. The entire district is endowed with picturesque hills and forests which lie to the south-eastern corner of the state.
